Queen Elizabeth I as a human being

In the movie Elizabeth, the queen is represented as a warrior, lover, ruler, etc
But for me the most important role that she played was as a  human being
that can make mistakes,be afraid of the challenges of being a queen, and be a
human with needs.
The love that she felt for the pirat was forbiden for her so she has to feel
that love throgh her young servant, but with consequences that she did not
consider at all.
Additionally she felt temerous and insecure because her Catholic cousin Mary,
Queen of Scots wanted her dead.So Elizabeth has to confront many conspirations
against her.
Finally at the end of the movie we can see that Elizabeth I has to fight for her nation,
and she get married with England because before being a woman and a human being,
she is queen that has to protect her country despite her needs or fears.
She becomes the Virgin Queen , a queen who does not need a man with her in order
to rule her country.

Strong, Independent Woman

I usually feel pretty offended by the very unfair position that this society has put women, the limited we are, all the free critique we recieve daily. we're like in the eye of the hurrican of opinions; the way we dress, the things we eat, the things we say, the people we kiss, the people we date etc. are constantly an issue for people that have nothing to do with our lifes. that's maybe why seeing this character, was so refreshing for me, even if it's someone from the past. Bcause, the image of a strong and independent woman *insert black lady meme*, at these times, gives me such a hope and strenght to face the unequal situation that women live day by day.

Sometimes it's really shocking to see how difficult is for people to mental represent us like single existences, like we don't need to have a boyfriend/family/baby, for making us a place in life.I mean, living isn't any easy for we considering that we often have to make sacrifices, like giving up some aspects of our lifes for being successful in ours career,. like Elizabeth done. And that's maybe because society expects from us much more that we're about to give, they expect us to seetle down and make the model of the life of a "normal" woman, wife and mom. so there's the time of taking the bull by the horns, and say: no more, i'm gonna live for making me happy, in first place. The others come after.

p.d: The video has not much to do with the Elizabeth character, but it works pretty good in the way of adding some Girl Power to this entry. Also, the series, Broad City it's very funny, I personally recomend it.

Some days ago, I was looking for some information on the internet, when something called my attention, a documentary poem by Cecilia Vicuña. It is a short video in which she tells us some parts of the history of Concón (my hometown), landmarks and the most important factory in the city.

For me is interesting, because she tells us about how people relate the sea with a woman, how important the wind is, the fish, the land, people.
We are all different; we have all different points of view, different ways of thinking, different ways of seeing life, and this is not an exception.

In addition to that, comes to my mind the activity of maps. What I found very interesting was the way my classmates prepared their task, it was really amazing, the creativity, the imagination.

The oral presentation despite being very short (time) I realized that was very motivating and fascinating, one group gave us food, another one gave us a little flag, and another one when they were presenting, played a song (I guess it was the group of the Celtic Fringe). I personally believe that this kind of group work motivates us in order to share and compare ideas, and to create new ways to socialize.

Power Queen.

One of the most important events in the reign of Queen Elizabeth was the Protestantism, the transformation of England. Religious policy of the Queen was the consolidation of Anglicanism and the monarchical power of the church, so attached to these beliefs Catholicism remained extinguished causing persecution by the church.
In my opinion religion was quite intolerant at that time that makes me remember a topic last unit that was discrimination, I think the time of the queen in that sense I was quite attached to one belief, not respecting the rights of other people to be and believe in what you deem correct.

To learn more of the most important facts about queen elizabeth in England I read about how important their participation was in economic activity and naval power to grant the country.

A fun fact about the craft activity and manufacturing is that the marketable product at that time was wool as raw material which dispensed many possibilities for  trade development.

Furthermore naval capabilities increased as the English naval supremacy and in return creating the British East India company which was started under the colonial period.

And finally the cultural development of the country, thanks to the Queen the country developed its more social and cultural side, giving way to the theatre, literature and architecture. one of the representatives in the country's literature is William Shakespeare, one of the most important.

With this post I wanted to highlight what elizabeth's country achieved broadly, contributions that were able to create thanks to her and the power of the queen at the time. from my point of view Queen Elizabeth has been an image for the country, as much as a reference and many important things happened under her reign.

Thanks you.

MY FAVORITE PART WAS... (?)

MY FAVORITE PART WAS... (?)

I really like to talk about not one specific point of all what we had saw in classes, because all the contents, points covered, the movies, the exposition, all that was really great, and that made this assignment really interesting and fun, I never believe that I would get so interested by any English speaking cultures, or a specific one.
At this moment I had learned a lot and I want to still doing it, I want to this classes keep this interactive way of explaining things (even if I’m not a great talker, I prefer to stay quiet and  listen very carefully), but If I have something to say, I say it.
Well, after all, I have one specific point that I like to talk, and that was the map presentation, even if the teacher says that I’ll be like “it was wonderful! Like my little ponies’ world!” I’ll say anyways.
at the beginning this activity was really boring for me and I thought that i have to do it for doing it, but then, when I started to searching information, and later listening my classmates presentation, y was really happy for being part of this, I mean, all the knowledge, all that I learned, I was underestimating the activity and all that it has to give me, sincerely I really would like activities like this will repeat in the future, because I enjoyed it a lot.if
T really like to put a link with information about my topic in the map "The Celtic Fringe" but when we was searching information, we found in so many links because all the information was so little in the websites, that if i want to put it here, it will be like 10 or 15 links, but if you want to google it, be careful, because there is even a restaurant with the same name.
-Here is one of them:

And to finish this, I really like that you commentated what was your “favorite” part in the course of this assignment.

Thank you for your attention! :D

Was ir really her time a Golden Age?

https://sites.google.com/site/despertandoaelmundo/despertad/laedaddeorodelareinaisabeli%C2%BFmitoorealidad
Was it really her time a Golden Age?
After seeing the movie Elizabeth the Golden Age, we could see that she was a very important person in England not only by the Virgin Queen, but because despite all your family history, always remained an authoritarian woman with a character and unique talent for governing, but as shown in the link was it really her time a Golden Age? Although he had a reign of 40 years and could strengthen economic and military power in the country thanks to maritime trade, this did not last for long, since the death of their directors loyal, conceived this privilege to a few, which caused a frantic rivalry in court. Not only this problem brought profound problems in England, Catholics also refused to attend Protestant trades, which led them to suffer constant persecutions that led to executions. Will all this happened as an excuse for that her to not continue to rule as a woman, not being married and therefore not leaving heirs.
As shown in the film, Queen armor sets and directs the troops, I think this can be considered as the personification of English triumph, which until today has implications, as it is considered a woman extraordinary in a man's world. From this I can say that his time if it was gold (despite its short duration) because his reign was great not only for wealth, but because despite his painful past was always a very intelligent woman, prudent, calculator and tolerant for her country, a worthy example of strength and courage of woman.

The Virgin Queen

In this link it is possible to observe how the life of the queen Elizabeth developed his life bearing in mind from his father until she died. For me this is important since it relates directly to the matter that we see, this web page is a complement to this. She was a queen of England, the virgin queen, on having seen the movie can deduce that Elizabeth was a powerful figure so much to level country as internationally. In my opinion I can say that she was impressive before the others and they show to a figure of the woman in which already it is not despised. Even with all the power that this kingdom was possessing, there were kingdoms that were in against for saying it somehow as the kingdom of Spain. In this web site it is possible to estimate practically everything what was appearing in the movie and what the teacher has said to us. With the information of everything what we have seen and in addition this page we can do a general idea to us and I believe that it completes.
To me what more I am called myself the attention was that the queen Elizabeth put prisionera to Mary the succesor of the throne and I give the orders to kill her. Here not only it appears information of this there is more information.
The queen Elizabeth is a worthy representative of the femininity, in order that they do not say that the women are unable to govern or not to have the same aptitudes to do what one supposes that a man would do it well. In my opinion the women are so or mas qualified that the men for these labors, and this is a good example of leadership. At the same time it is a way of showing that she was a bit cruel and was accustomed that they were obeying it in everything.https://www.royal.gov.uk/HistoryoftheMonarchy/KingsandQueensofEngland/TheTudors/ElizabethI.aspx
